Wolfsburg v Real Madrid – Champions League

April 6 2016, Volkswagen Arena, 18:45 GMT+0

Here it is. second half of quarter-finals of Champions League, where the German side, Wolfsburg awaits the Spanish giant Real Madrid at Volkswagen Arena.

Wolfsburg can be happy they reached the last 8 in Champions League, but I am afraid their journey ends here. It’s not really important to mention Real is a much stronger team in all aspects of the game. The home pitch advantage might help the Germans, but the question is “Will it be enough?”

Wolfsburg has beaten Gent in 1/8 finals with 2 goals advantage (4:2) which gave them a ticket to quarter finals. Prior to that, Wolfsburg managed to be the 1st in group B with PSV, Man Utd and CSKA Moscow, where they lost only 2 matches.

Going into this match, Wolfsburg will be missing Caligiuri, Jung and Bendtner, whereas Naldo‘s appearance is doubtful.

Real Madrid has a clear goal, to win the Champions league, and it’s not impossible to be fair. They have been playing excellent recently, not losing in the last 6 matches played. In 1/8 finals, Real faced AC Roma, who was too weak to threaten Real, who won both fixtures with a score (2:0).

Going into this match, Real is surely confident they can win despite playing on the road, which in the end has not proven to be a handicap for the Spanish team. As for missing players, only Varane and Borja Mayoral are missing, so the key players are all ready to take on Wolfsburg.

I will take a advantage of high odds on Real Madrid (-1), given by bookies with odds being over 2.00 by most of the bookmakers. I believe Real will win this one and will surely not hold back, instead I can see they will try to get a wealthy lead going into second leg.

Prediction: Real Madrid -1
Odds: 2.15 Pinnacle
