League Two

Southend v Crewe – League One

March 1 2016, Roots Hall ,19:45 GMT+0

Today 8th placed Southand awaits their visitors, 23th placed Crewe at Roots Hall. The home side has had ups and downs in the league lately, winning only 2 out of 5 last games. But when you look at home form it’s much different, winning all 3 last games against Burton (3:1), Colchester (3:0) and Coventry (3:0). So there is no doubt the home side is dominating at home ground. With some improvement they can still catch a spot in the play-offs.

Today’s visitors won only 1 game out of last 10 against Rochdale (2:0), looking at away form, Crewe has not tasted victory since November. Comparing away form to Southend home form, there is little to no doubt this is a comfortable win for the home side.

As for missing players, Davis, Ray and Bingham are all still sidelined for the visitors. For the home side Weston and Leonard are both missing, whereas White is back with his team.

Prediction: Southend -1
Odds: 2.09 Pinnacle
