Sheffield Wednesday v Charlton – England Championship

March 19 2016, Hillsborough, 15:00 GMT+0

Sheffield Wednesday had an excellent run at home, which was stopped by a defeat against Rotherham United (0:1), which was a bit unlucky for the home side, as they had more possession and shots on goal, but sadly received a goal i 21′ and couldn’t equalise. Despite that defeat I see Sheffield Wednesday as a really strong team when it comes to home games. The home side is currently at 6th position in the league and I can only see them climbing up the table. Today “The Owls” will be without Bannan, who has received a red card in the last game. Hutchinson is hoping to join his team after illness. On the positive note, McGugan is back with his team after missing 1 match.

The visitors have a better H2H against Sheffield Wednesday, but Charlton is not in a great form in my eyes. Of course they did manage to get 7 points in the last 3 games, which gave them some hope, but that does not mean thy will be a real threat to Sheffield Wednesday. With Vetokele, Solly and Henderson reappearance still in question, whereas Arsenal loanee Sanogo still serving his 3 match ban, Charlton seems weakened. Makienok  is back with his team but I doubt that will be enough to defeat the home side.

With Frostieri in Sheffield Wednesday squad they will surely perform great, as they only under-perform, when he is missing. Taking the facts into consideration I see no doubt Sheffield will prevail in this match up.

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: Westwood – Pudil – Loovens – Lees – Hunt – Palmer – Lee – McGeady – Frostieri – Wallace – Hooper

CHARLTON: Henderson – Motta – Fanni – Teixeira – Fox – Diarra – Poyet – Cousins – Berg Gudmundsson – Harriott – Lookman

Prediction: Sheffield Wednesday -1
Odds: 1.99 Pinnacle
