Shandong Luneng v Buriram – AFC Champions League

Shandong Luneng v Buriram – AFC Champions League Betting Preview + Prediction
March 1 2016, Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium, 7:30 GMT +0

I believe that Shandong Luneng are big favourites to bag all three points against Taiwanese team Buriram.  Both clubs are currently in their pre-season with the both Chinese and Thai league to start in a week or so.

As I stated before in my previous previews, Shandong were playing very attacking football football last season, as their average was more than 3,5 goals per match. At the end, they managed to finish at third place. To qualify for AFC, the Chinese club had to go though two qualification rounds to reach the group stages, trashing the Indian team Mohun Bagan (6-0) at their home stadium and defeating Australian club Adelaide United (2-1) on the road. Impressive result, if we take into consideration that Adelaide are currently on a 13 match unbeaten run in their domestic league. If we take a look at all Shandong’s matches from AFC, we can see that 13 of 14 matches had more than 2,5 goals, including their recent away win against Sanfrecce Hiroshima(1-2).

A week ago, Buriram was trashed by FC Seul 6-0. They didn’t just lost the match, but also two important players, Suchao Nutnum(red card) and Brazilian striker Diogo(injury). Not a lot more to say about this team, Shandong should be at least a class above them.

Prediction: Shandong Luneng -1.00 Asian Handicap
Odds: 1.72 Pinnacle Sports
