San Jose Earthquakes – MLS 2016 SEASON BETTING PREVIEW

Stadium: Avaya Stadium
Capacity: 18,000

 Dominic Kinnear  (July 26, 1967)
Born in Scotland, Dominic began his football career at St Johnstone. Later he went to play for several teams in United States and Mexico as a defender. He played in the the teams like San Jose Hawks, San Jose Clash, Tampa Bay Mutiny and Necaxa. After he became an USA citizen he also earned 54 appearances with the USA national team.

Last Season:

San Jose finished their 2015 campaign on 13th last place in the league overall and on 7th place in Western Conference. Again, they did not qualify for the play-offs, and the didn’t do anything in cup competitions they were eliminated in fifth round.
Top Goalscorer: Chris Wondolowski – 16 goals
Most Assists: Matias Perez Garcia – 6 assists

Chris Wondolowski

Nothing impressing so far, they won against South Korean team Seongham (1-0) and against Sacramento Republic FC (2-1), while they lost to  New England Revolution (2-0), Huston Dynamo (1-0) and with a very disappointing display against LA Galaxy (1-0). If they continue like that, they will have a lot of troubles in Western Conference this year.

Simon Dawkins

Review: SJ were quite active this year, they bring Simon Dawkings back from Derby County, and I think he will be a great addition for a team. They also bring in a couple of rookies, but I think that only Dawkings will go straight into the first team.

Season 2016:

The Western Conference looks very competitive this year. I expect them to finish somewhere near 5th to 7th place. I will also place a bet for them to win the US Open, as Kinnear has mentioned that he is looking forward to the competition. And this is probably the only chance to get some silverware this season.

Western Conference: 5th – 7th place
League Overall: 12th – 15th place

Betting Prediction: SJ Earthquakes to win US Open cup
