Partizan v Crvena Zvezda – ABA League betting preview and prediction

The last match of the 7th round of ABA League will be arguably the most entertaining when Partizan hosts Crvena Zvezda in hopes to extend their 4 game winning streak. Well, it won’t really go for a match that will bring any “home advantage” as this arena is used as a home court for both of those teams, except the fact we will see much more Partizan fans.

First let’s focus on the “visiting” team, Crvena Zvezda. Crvena Zvezda is a favourite, there is no doubt about it, but we must take into consideration, they are coming from a Euroleague match against Bamberg, which means there was little time to rest and replenish their energy prior to this clash. It was seen before that Crvena Zvezda has not performed their best in conditions like that when they have no time to rest. Looking at the last match Crvena Zvezda played in ABA League, they were going against MZT Skopje, which was an easy match for Crvena Zvezda, as they were considered a huge favourite and lived up to that name with a 39 point win (112:73). I won’t go into much detail about this match as there is nothing much to say. Crvena Zvezda was a class above their opponents as the score suggests.

Partizan is currently at 5th spot in the ABA League, with the same amount of points than Crvena Zvezda. Looking at how they played up until now, they have a respectable 4 game winning streak behind them, but their 4-2 record is not as impressive if we look at who they played against. Partizan has yet met with any of the best teams in the league (Cedevita, Boducnost and Crvena Zvezda) and today will be their 1st real test to see how good they really are.

Verdict & Prediction

Both teams are at 4-2 this season, but as mentioned before, Partizan 4-2 does not hold that much value if we compare it to Crvena Zvezda 4-2 record. The main question here is if Crvena Zvezda is rested enough to do their job and will the ratio of fans effect how well Partizan plays. That’s why we will go for Over/under bet. Looking at the trend between these two teams + the fatigue of Crvena Zvezda, we can safely assume this match will not go over 170 points. We did not see over 170 points between these two teams for several H2H matches, past season included and I would be surprised if we do so today.

Prediction: Under 171 points
