Kawasaki Frontale v Shimizu – J-League

Kawasaki are still dealing with a very serious injury crisis. Seven of their players are currently recovering from which Dudu, Elsinho, R. Oshima, and A. Ienaga are very important players and their absence will have a really negative effect on the team. On the positive side, H. Abe, has recovered from an injury and will be included in the squad, however, there is some risk that he may start the game on the bench. Rhayner, who was used as a replacement for injured players, looked particularly bright in previous games and may become a starting player. Also, he has already received four yellow cards this season and will be suspended in case of receiving another one.

The team’s morale is average as they have won only one match out of their last six consecutive games in league and cup, however, the fans understand that their team is dealing with a real injury crisis and it is difficult for the manager to navigate with so many absent key players.

Leandro Freire, Y. Kawai and K. Kitagawa are all sidelined for the game against Kawasaki Frontale because of injuries. Freire and Kawai’s absences will be a serious problem for the manager as both of them play significant roles in the team. On the positive side, R. Takeuchi has fully recovered from an injury and will be included in the squad for Friday’s match. There are some rumors that Tiago Alves is quite likely to make his debut in the starting XI.

The mood around the team is far from perfect as Shimizu have managed to secure only three points in their last six outings which is a really disappointing result for the fans. There is no huge pressure on the team to win the match against Kawasaki as they currently are in 9th position with ten points. Another thing worth considering is the fact that Shimizu secured all their victories while playing away. Shimizu will be happy for a draw, but playing without much pressure might help them to be more creative and take more risks.
