FC Dallas v Sporting Kansas City – MLS Betting Preview + Prediction
17 Apr 2016, Stadion Toyota, 23:00 GMT+0
Dallas will come into the game on top of the league after picking up their 4th win of the season against Portland Timbers in midweek. The side are also the leagues top scorers with 13, with goals coming from across the side with confidence at a high. The side have conceded 9 goals, however 5 of those came in one game with the side suffering their one loss in a heavy 5-0 defeat against Houston Dynamo.
They will be missing two players tonight, with attacking midfielders Alex Zendejas and Mauro Diaz both out injured. The side is expected to remain the same as the side that beat Portland Timbers with Chris Seitz keeping his spot in goal behind a defence made up of Ryan Hollingshead, Matt Hedges, Walker Zimmerman and Maynor Figueroa. The midfield will see Carlos Gruezo and Kellyn Acosta play in the middle with Michael Barrios and Fabian Castillo playing in the wide positions. Maxi Urruti is likely to be partnered by Tesho Akindele again after the striker has scored two goals in two matches.
Sporting come into the game after suffering a midweek loss to Colorado Rapids, their second loss of the season. The side still sit second in the table however as they take on the side directly above them. They’ve got a good defensive record so far this season, only conceding 5 whilst at the other end of the pitch they’ve scored eight with Dwyer scoring four of those and Feilhaber scoring 2. The side will be missing Myers and Besler who are both injured along with Mustier. The players that came into the side for the loss to Colorado are likely to drop back to the bench. The side have won both of their away games so far this season and have yet to concede a goal on the road, a task that will be a lot harder against free scoring Dallas.
Dallas will come into the game full of confidence following their win against Portland which gave them 11 points from their last 15 as the form side in the MLS. The side have only lost once this season and have looked impressive in their games since the loss to Houston. The side have also scored the most goals in the league with 13 and whilst Urruti hasn’t scored for a few weeks, Akindele has stepped up and scored in the last two games. Goals are coming from across the pitch which will build confidence in the side and remove some pressure from the strikers. Strong bet on home team. If you can find the odds on straight win over 1.80, I would recommend you to take that option.
