ENCE Esports is without a doubt the best CSGO team in Finland. They are filled with young talents like Sergej and Aleksib along with xSeveN and Aerial. The 16-year-old Sergej quickly proved to be one of the best under 20 players in the game. He also became the youngest player to ever win a HLTV MVP award and the first Finnish player to get one. As an interesting fact, the team has a partnership with Finnish hockey club Lahden Pelicans. Looking at the minor, they were able to beat every team they played against; ex-Space Soldiers(without XANTARES, who was signed by BIG), Windigo, Valiance(the team that knocked out Mousesports out of the Minor) and North. They also won a LAN tournament a couple of days ago, called Assembly Winter 2019, which is a tournament focused on Finnish teams, which is a great tournament to warm up yourself for the upcoming major. ENCE are priced around 30 to win the major, which is about right. They have a great chance to go 3-0 in the New Challenges stage and secure a Legends spot for the next major.
Team Spirit is the only team that didn’t make roster changes after the last major in London. The CIS team returns to the minor after finishing 19th at the previous major, on the other side, the Vega Squadron who qualified alongside Team Spirit ended up making it to the legends status. As for their road to the Major, they managed a second place at the minor, after defeating Winstrike 2-1 (14-16 on Nuke, 16-6 on Overpass and 16-9 on Dust2). Apart from the minor, they played only one additional LAN tournament, WePlay! Lock and Load, where they finished fifth after a 2-1 Quarterfinals loss against BIG in a BO3 match. As for 2018, apart from second place at StarLadder & ImbaTV Invitational Chongqing 2018, ESEA Season 27: Global Challenge and CIS Minor Championship – London 2018, they didn’t put up any notable results. They are priced around 230 to win the major, which is fair, as I expect them to be one of the first teams to leave the major.
These two teams played against each other five times in 2018, with Spirit winning 3 and ENCE 2 matches. It is worth noting that 3 of the five matches went into overtime and that 4 matches finished with more than 26 rounds. We are going with two bets for this match; one on Team Spirit and another on Over 25.5 rounds.
