Den Haag v Tweente – Eredivisee

March 4 2016, Kyocera stadium,19:00 GMT+0

Both of the teams started season terrible and it seemed as they would be relegated, but good recent performances, they were able to climb the league table and are currently 8 (Den Haag) and 9 (Twente) points clear of relegation zone.

The hosts Den Haag has lost 2 back to back games against Zwolle (0:2) and PSV (2:0) also with only 2 wins at Kyocera stadium throughout the whole season. Taking that into consideration, they are not what you can call “a good home team”, not by a mile.. I might also mention Den Haag came on top in this H2H twice in last 2 matches (2:0) and (1:4). Despite that statistic that shows Den Haag is playing very well against Twente, it won’t be easy today, as Twente is one of the best teams in the league looking at recent form, losing only 3 games out of 10.

Den Haag will be without Bakker and  Malone who are both suspended. Worgmoor on the other hand is injured and also won’t be available. Korte might step on the pitch if he passes the doctor exam, so he is still doubtful.

Twente, the champions in 2009/10 performed really badly at the start of the season and it seemed as they would be relegated first time since 1956. But they showed will and great performances, to get themselves out of that risk and are now clear off that “disaster” by 9 points. In last 5 matches Twente won all of them, 3 being at home and 2 on the road, against Roda (0:1) and Heerenveen (1:3).

The good news are, that there are no injuries to worry about, so the whole squad except Stevens, Katsikas, Thesker and Borven are missing. But taking into consideration those players are not key players it won’t weaken the team today.

I believe Twente are a decent team and a team that we can trust to win this one and extend their great performances they showed lately.

Prediction: Twente +0.00
