Brisbane Roar vs Wellington Phoenix – A League

December 12 2015, Cairns 6:15 GMT +0

This saturday the Roar and Phoenix will clash at Cazalys Stadium in 10th leg of A-League

Brisbane Roar started the season really strong, but the last 3 matches surely do not show that. They were to able to draw 2 and lose 1 game against WS Wanderers, who are now leading the league, because of that poor form they slipped from top of the table to 4th place. Even though the bad recent games, Brisbane Roar are still competitive side, with deadly attacking duo Jamie McClaren and Brandon Borrello, with combined 9 goals this season. It’s also worth mentioning, that Roars are not defeated at their home stadium, Suncorp Stadium.

Their opponents Wellington Phoenix are currently 6th in the A-League, only 1 point behind their next opponents, the Roars and only 2 points off 2nd place in the league. Wellington Phoenix are coming from a win at home against Melbourne Victory, the 2nd placed team with another clean sheet. But we must take into our observation the fact, that Wellington Phoenix have won only 1 game on the road this season, and we can surely expect, that they won’t break this spell in the next match. Phoenix will play without Vince Lia and Justin Gulley.

The thing that will give the Roar an edge is a hot and humid Cairns, also a long trip for Wellington will effect the players. My recommendation for this match would be win for Roar.

BET: Brisbane Roar -0,5
