March 3 2016, St Adrew’s stadium ,19:45 GMT+0

Today 8th placed Birmingham takes on 2nd placed Hull at St. Andrew’s stadium.  The home side are coming from a loss against QPR (2:0). With that loss, Birmingham has only 1 win in the last 5 games, and with only 4 points off playoff spot they need to improve if they want to finish in the top 6. But their plans might not come true due to injury problems. Striker Vaughan and midfielder Gleeson are in doubt if they will step on the pitch today. The Gary Rowett’s side will also be without a striker Brock-Madsen because of muscle injury and a rising star Solomon-Otabor.

Hull only needs a point to be on the top of the league table, but they will surely go for all 3. But there are some concerns, as Hull has scored only 1 goal in last 4. Despite lack of goals, Hull managed to draw against Arsenal in FA cup, and it’s a great accomplishment for them. They have proven, they can defend, but the question is, can they defeat the opponent, rather that end the game goalless. Today, the current coach of Hull, Steve Bruce and former coach of Birmingham will need to find the answer to that, and with full squad available it we can expect it won’t be a hard task.

In conclusion, I find Birmingham as a average team and today they are going against a team that is a strong candidate for promotion this season. Taking that into consideration and adding a fact that Hull has a full squad available, whereas Birmingham is missing quite some players the question of who is going to win today becomes clearer. Also with a great performance against Arsenal I find Hull as a strong favourite in today’s match.
