NIMES v METZ – France Ligue 2
February 22 2016, Stade de Costieres, 19:30 GMT+0
Nimes has improved by a lot lately, and a fact that they suffered only 1 loss at Stade de Costieres throughout this season is a big plus. Even though it is true, that 7 out of 13 home matches ended in a draw, the last 4 were a win.
Currently Nimes is only 1 point clear of relegation zone, but if they keep up their good performances there should be no worries of them falling back to the bottom of the table. With great form of the leading scorer Anthony Koura and Steve Mounie they are surely one the reasons Nimes is currently 6th best team in France 2 form wise.
Looking at missing players, the hosts will have to play without Sergio, Savanier and Valls. The good news are none of those are a key player for their team.
Metz has been at the top half of the table the whole season throughout, but with really bad performances in the latest matches, getting only 1 point from 3 games played it all seems they are walking on a thin line. Those troubles might be because of growing missing players list. One of the main problems is missing 1st choice goalkeeper Didillon, who already missed 2 of the last matches and it all seems he will miss this one as well. Not only that, but Lejeune, who is second best scorer and another striker Gbakle are both sidelined for today’s match up. Looking at midfield Toussaint and Doukoure are missing as well as defender Ivan. All together Metz will miss 6 players, some of them of mass importance.
With addition, the last H2H match up between these two ended with a win for Nimes.
The round up for this match is as follows; the hosts will have a upper hand with home advantage and weakened squad of the visitors. Nimes has showed us they can compete and coming into this match they seem more than ready to take on Metz.
Prediction: Nimes -0.25
Odds: 2.04 Pinnacle
